Dyslexia

It is vital that dyslexia is diagnosed as soon as possible, as it has significant ramifications for learning.

Dyslexia is not associated with intellectual disability. However students with dyslexia may need intensive assistance in order for them to learn literacy and numeracy skills. In other words, they will often need to be taught these skills in a different way in order to learn them.  Science of Reading approaches are vital.

The most up-to-date information on evidence-based programs to address dyslexia, see Auspeld.   https://auspeld.org.au/
